Public Murals

MURAL ARTIST STATEMENT
As a muralist, my goal is to introduce non-controversial themes familiar to the community. In addition, I create murals with the assistance of a staff of artists and members of the community interested in partaking in these public works. This collaborative effort is especially evident in my large scale murals, in which I will invite my staff of artists and the community to partake in the creation of a visually inviting mural that all can appreciate. By all, I mean people of any skill level and age. My aim through these murals is to create a platform where ALL feel welcomed and appreciated, especially when they accidently spill paint, which happens a lot, including myself. On any given project, numerous assistants are involved ranging from a dozen people for a small project to several hundred for a large mural. True, my aim is always creating a professional quality work, but above this priority, is developing strong relationships in a culture that at the moment is very polarized.
